Tyler
Home Health Services, Inc. is a home health agency which provides care and
services for recovery at home. It is an affiliate of Tyler Memorial Hospital
and was created to provide another level of care for Tyler patients and
other members of the community who need home health services.
What is Home Health Care?
Home health care can be an important part of any person's recovery. Studies show that people who are able to stay at home when ill, or who can return home to continue their recovery, often get better faster. Home health care can help people do just that. It can shorten a hospital stay or even prevent one by allowing a person to recover at home.
What Services Does Tyler Home Health Provide?
Tyler Home Health provides short-term nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, social work services, patient teaching and other personal services. It can also provide medical equipment needed in the home for recovery. Tyler Home Health offers a range of services - from simple assistance with daily routines like bathing or dressing, to intravenous (IV) therapy and respiratory care. Staff members include registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and other health care professionals.
Why Is Tyler Offering Home Health Care?
Tyler saw a need for a quality, reliable and accessible home health program in the community, particularly for hospital patients who need assistance at home. As a responsive hospital committed to meeting the health care needs of the community, Tyler decided to offer a program to meet those needs. By doing so, we extend a circle of care that surrounds pre-hospital, hospital and post-hospital needs.

Do I Know If Home Health Is Right For Me Or A Family Member?
Talk to your doctor about your medical needs either before you are hospitalized or while you are in the hospital. Ask him or her what care you need and if it can be provided at home. If you decide that home health care is appropriate for you, Tyler Home Health is the program we hope you'll consider.
Who Pays For Home Health Care?
There are many ways to pay for home health services. The most common are private insurance programs, health maintenance organizations (HMOs), Blue Cross, Medicare, Medicaid, disability, worker's compensation and others. Each program provides different levels of coverage; we'll be happy to discuss your coverage with you. Tyler Home Health accepts all major insurances.
